Mission Statement

The Wood County Human Resources Department provides direct services and assistance with all aspects of County government, departmental operations and programs dealing with hours, wages, working conditions, staffing, labor relations, human resources and training of employees ensuring that all these activities are conducted in both the spirit and intent of State and Federal programs and mandates, in a fiscally prudent manner.

Wood County employs nearly 650 dedicated professionals at multiple locations throughout Wood County including Wisconsin Rapids, Port Edwards and Marshfield. It is our mission to fully serve the residents of Wood County in everything we do. We seek qualified candidates for a wide variety of positions that possess motivation, a true desire to provide great service, and who will positively represent Wood County by acting with integrity and a strong work ethic.
