Wood County seeks applicants for two openings for citizen members on the Health & Human Services Committee.

The Health and Human Services Committee hasoversight of the following departments: Human Services, Public Health Department, Edgewater Haven, Norwood Health Center, and Veteran’s Service Office.

One citizen member must not be an elected official or employee of Wood County and a physician, except that if the appointing authority is unable to locate a willing physician it shall make a good faith effort to appoint a physician assistant, or an advanced practice registered nurse pursuant to Wis. Stats Ch. 251.03. Physician assistants and advance practice registered nurses are encouraged to apply, but preference is shown to physicians.

AND

One member shall be an individual who receives or has received human services or a family member of such an individual pursuant to Wis Stats Ch 46.23(4).
