The Wood County Health Department has programs and information available to help you protect your community including, but not limited to:

Hepatitis C, HIV and STD’s

Prevention of Hepatitis C, HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infections through education, disease investigation and risk reduction counseling. Hepatitis C and HIV testing is available for high risk cases.


Prevention of tuberculosis (TB) and latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) through disease investigation, screening, case management and education. TB skin testing – see Calendar of Events - TB Clinics. T-spot testing is also available – call for details.

Rabies Control

Ongoing collaboration with area veterinarians, citizens and animal control personnel regarding animal bites in Wood County. For more information about rabies click on the links below.
