Job Details The Wood County University Extension Office has an opening for a full-time Secretary – 4-H position. Responsibilities are to provide secretarial support to the 4-H Agent and 4-H staff.

Essential requirements include: High school graduate or equivalent; secretarial or administrative assistant associate degree and two (2) to three (3) years secretarial work experience or five (5) years secretarial work experience required. Typing skills of 45 w.p.m. required. Ability to operate a personal computer and software (Word, Excel and/or Access and other software as required) and the ability to learn any upgrades and changes which may occur. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision prioritizing tasks, work efficiently, remain flexible under pressure to meet time constraints. Accuracy and attention to detail essential. Basic everyday living skills are needed, as is the ability to understand and follow oral and written directions. Reading and writing, adding and subtracting skills are needed to prepare reports, take messages, schedule appointments and collect payments. Must possess exceptional customer service skills; ability to deal professionally and effectively with co-workers and congenially with the general public in person and on the telephone.
