Pay Rate $10 per hour/$12 per hour with CDL
Job Details The Wood County Highway Department has openings for full-time, seasonal employment, perform duties as assigned, and may include any or all of the following: replace employees who are absent, bury dead animals, sweep intersections, hand mow, patch roads, drive truck, perform flagging duties, and cut brush at various Wood County locations.

Essential requirements include: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be 18 years of age. Prior experience in a similar work environment preferred. Requires valid Wisconsin driver’s license and safe driving record. Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License with “B” endorsement highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to drive trucks. Ability to coordinate traffic control (flagging). Candidates must possess basic everyday living skills, the ability to understand and follow directions (work assignments), the ability to read and write, add and subtract (using a calculator, time sheets). Ability to work compatibly with fellow employees and the general public. Skill in applying general first aid is useful.
Rate of Pay: $10 per hour, $12 per hour with CDL.
