Job Details The Wood County Human Services Department has an opening for a full-time Social Worker (Family Services - Access) position in Wisconsin Rapids. The purpose of this position gathers all necessary information from mandated and non-mandated reporters regarding juvenile issues, as well as suspected child abuse or neglect. In addition, this position provides back-up coverage to the Crisis Interventionist position on an as-needed basis, including but not limited to, taking crisis calls and determining a need for Mobile Crisis Response, as well as providing centralized intake for Adult Protective Services investigation and other voluntary behavioral health programs.

Essential requirements include: A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field is required. Possession of, or eligibility for, Social Work Certification in accordance with Wisconsin Chapter 457.08 is required. Two (2) to five (5) years’ experience in CPS/Juvenile Justice preferred. Knowledge regarding operating the eWiSACWIS system preferred. Proficient alpha/numeric keyboard entry skills required. Typing skills of 35 w.p.m. desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of Chapters 48 and 938.
